A very fast hello!
I have never, EVER been known for thinking before acting. So when Jerad, Jack, David and I all decided to check out Downtown Disney tonight, I didn't look for the bus stop at the hotel. I figured that we could catch one at any stop along the way, and thus make better time.
This proved that I didn't understand the Disney bus system. Anyway, we ran a LONG way, and Jerad kept up with us. About an hour later, we met up with a dude who had a Disney badge. He couldn't believe how far we'd come.
We just grinned and told him "Shoot, we're Texans!"
After he gave us a bit of instruction, we made it to Downtown Disney, and I approximated that we had gone 4 miles in one hour. That's amazing, not for me, but for Jerad, especially considering that we had gone back and forth so many times.
I by the end of two hours, we still hadn't made it to the attraction we were trying to see, but we knew the bus system pretty well, and Jerads feet hurt. The little guy didn't complain though, and if he were my son, I'd have been proud of him.
He weren't my son though, so I told him "Why shucks, we hardly jest begun boy!". Please note, in southern, boy is two syllables.
For Valerie Delap, I promise to take a picture of the near 50 foot christmas tree in the lobby of the Dolphin.
For Ashley, I thought this job would be much tougher, but so far Jerad has done alright, and better.
For Tait, Esther, David (A. Heustis), Derek, Jeffrey, and everybody else, I really wish yawl were here, because there's nothing like fellowship. I wouldn't even mind if David (W. Delap) were here, but then I'd spend all my time talking to him, and we would have all the fun. Everybody else would be bored stiff.
Speaking of which, I have free long distance. I should call him. Hey Val, when's a good time?
Derrillynn, to you I must say that you use the most original pattern of text colors, and it blends beautifully. A+ girl!
For those that haven't checked her blog lately, it might be worth it.
And now, I'd like to give all of you readers (There's about 8 of you now I think...) a picture.
Jack, David, and Jerad, glad to rest their feet for a moment while waiting for the bus.
Click here for the picture. It should adjust to your window size.
Click here for a better picture, though it's sideways. I don't know if the browser corrected it or not, and I'm too tired to look.
Please note that I'm using my Mom's laptop (purchased from Circuit City through Quixtar.com) and I don't have any photo software available to me. If the photo's are a little dark, I apologize.
So, I really do wish that all yawl were here, we'd have a blast!
The XS guys here want to see our XS commercial, so David and I are conspiring to place the legal version in their hands.
Yeah, yawl need to be here. Being seperated from my 380 gigs of harddrive space (which contains Pirates of Penzance) is a hard thing, but I would take it better if you were here.
Fortunately, I'm on T1 here at this place, allowing for 500 Kilobyte's per second download rates.
Mom's trying to get off the phone with Reagan, and then I'm going to call David.
Anybody want a call? If ya do, comment with your request, and email me the number.
I can check my email, but I don't do it often so make sure to let me know I should check. I have free long distance after 9 here, so I'll call you probably after 9 here.
Anyway, yawl have fun, and I'll post more pictures later!
John.
P.S. This was supposed to be short, dang it!
P.P.S. David Delap, I saw the lego stuff. Cool, cool, cool. Can't wait to talk to you!
