Ah, the Dreams, the Goals, the Desires....

So, I like toys. However, I prefer toys that hook up to the computer.

Items on my get list right now include:

The most awesomenest comfortable headphones available. Well, there are better, but they're called edition 7 and they're 2000 dollars, so I'll stick with these Sony's. As it is, I have MDR-V600, the way way way way little brother to these guys.

Sony Headphones Baby.

(TigerDirect is a partner store under shop.com by the way)

Though TD says this mouse only has 4 or 5 buttons, it has 11 functional 'buttons', so don't be fooled. I bought the MX700, and then the MX1000 came out. They fixed all my complaints on the 1000, that's why I want it. If I do get it, Jeff Heustis can have my 700.

Logitech LASER (not optical) Wireless Mouse.

These speakers are 5.1 surround, and thus only work to their fullest extent with a 5.1 capable PC. (Mine is).

Logitech z-5500 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Speaker System. (phew, long name).

This isn't really a computer toy, but it is for film making, and it's a dream item.

AT-897 Shotgun Microphone.

This next puppy IS a computer. I want one with all the candy, and that cost's about 8 to 10 thousand dollars. These comps are liquid cooled and overclocked, as well as each one being custom built to your specification. They're the best on the market, period. I can't decide though if I want AMD with SLI, or Pentium 4 with SLI. The AMD is 64 bit, but only 2.6 Ghz, whereas the Pentium 4 is 4.2 Ghz, and only 32 bit. I think I'm going AMD, cause it's WAY better for video work.

Alienware ALX Gaming Rig.

Well now, that's about one third of the stuff I'd like to get, but unfortunately, it's about 20 million times how much money I have. :-)

Don't worry, I shall remedy that....

What's on your dream list?

Ok, now another short quiz.

1. Do you own a digital camera?

2. Do you do your computer work with speakers, or with headphones?

3. Do you prefer to listen to music while working, or while playing?

Ok, quiz is over, and I would like to say THANK YOU to Jennifer for the really nice comment!

Yeah.

Last but not least, the Christmas present I wrote for all of you will begin filming in two weeks, post production in three, and hopefully release in two months. However, I'm REALLY good at pushing release dates backwards through time. Don't count on anything, unless it's from the government (note the irony).

I still can't get Todd's movie to work. I'll try recompressing it. It's not superhigh priority, but it was REALLY cute, and I'm sure yawl'd love it.

Ok, and uh, yeah.

Have fun everyone!

Stupid computators.

I typed a really long post that didn't go through, and all work was lost.

Is this thing working now??

EDIT: Yes, it IS!! Hoorah!

Oh, and uh, now everyone can just read that last really long post and comment on it.

I'll do some more later.

Time, Time, Time.

9:30 AM. Going running.

You?

Tuesday, February 22, 2005

Ah, doggone I love my older brothers!

So, I get an email from Jordan today.

Then entirety of the message reads:

From Moore, Jordan R. PR2(AW) (VAQ-132 MAINT)

ah, what the hell.

That's it. The total of the message.

It's sad that it probably took him twenty minutes to type that.

Have fun folks!

Sing Music Very Loud!

I sing very loud.

Slowly yet surely, my singing is getting itself somewhere.....

On the nerves of David and Jeff.

Apparently, I spend a lot of time just singing, and that's not good because I can't sing! If I had a singing voice, perhaps that would be fine, but alas, I hath not been blessed.

I can scream though, and I do that well. Not screaming in the stereotypical scared girl sense, but as in that singing scream that all the male rock singers do, ya know? It frightens David and Jeff more than my singing does. :-)

Now, it's time for a supershort answer questions thing:

1. When you sing, do you imitate the original singers style, or to your own style? : I imitate them thar singing dudes!

2. When reading a book, do all the characters in you head talk the way you do but with different pitches, or do they follow the style of actors that you think would fit the role? Eh, they all talk like me, because me is TEH awesomeness.

3. Have you seen the movie Exodus starring Paul Newdude (newman duh)? : Yes!!! Yes, about 10 times, and I've read the book. Awesome book, awesome movie.

I love them BOTHNESS.

The Heustis family is sitting down watching the DVD right now. You can get it with PV from Barnes and Noble through quixtar for 15 bucks as I recall.

It's worth it too. It has an awesome cast.

I would also like to say, that while both the book and the movie are completely awesome, they're awesome in different ways, and I like the book equally as much as the video, but in a different way.

Quiz is over.

L8r folks.

Oh yeah, and feel free to ask questions about anything in the comments. I will answer them in the next blog post!

And, in other news, Cowboy (the horse) is really awesome.

I like him a lot.

oh, you want pictures?

Next time, folks.

l8r folks again!

John Bob.

Risen.

The burden on body was gone,
setting free the soul whom was bound.

The spirit hovered over the death pale face,
that it had left without pain or thought,
and it saddened at the remembrance,
of those he'd left behind.

The girl whom he had loved,
he could not now take as wife,
yet he had loved her with all his strength..

The family who he had blessed,
would now be cursed.
His father old, and weary.
His mother lost in fear.

His brothers and sisters,
pulled down by the loss of their hero,
and the old miller he'd worked for grieved by the death of a friend.

The soul of this boy couldn't cry,
but the pain tore at him, and he could almost feel the bitter tears of earnest sorrow.

Never to see his friends,
Never to see his family,
Never again, to see the girl he loved.

He screamed inside, and pulled at the air,
wishing that the rain could stop,
that he could once again comfort them.

But over his screams, a gentle whisper was heard,
broken by shivering cries of sorrow,
a prayer.

A prayer from his Mother.
A prayer from the girl.
A prayer from the very earth around him,
that he would again be bound by his earthly body.

A prayer with the plea that his work was not done.
And a heavenly voice of wind, answering, “Yes.”

“Yes. He has work that must be done.”
His eyes fluttered open once again,
as if aroused from slumber.

The vision blurred, the user beheld the glory of faces that knew him.
Friends, family, and another man he didn't recognize.

He stood amidst the gathering, covering the room with light.
His face was so bright it disallowed viewing,
and the boy knew he was the only one who could see the majestic king of angels,
and the Savior of mankind.

He watched his Mothers trembling lips,
as they slowly let out out a tearful “Amen”,
and he smiled.

Now the tears he felt were real,
and he could finish his incomplete works.

“Amen.”

And I say, Amen.

I guess I, like that kid (whomever he was), was dead, but now am alive. Whatever.

Anyway:

Whats up Dogs? /Navy

I'm busy workin', but I'll start posting a little more regularly!

I got some awesome pictures from Valerie, but I've been too busy to mess with them.

Had my email go out for a few days, but it should be working now. For anybody that has sent me an email that I didn't respond to, send them to me again and I'll reply with some speedyness.... tomorrow.

Dad and I are going in to do a mensmeeting today, and I'm audio/video. Gotta keep everything running properly.

Yeah.

So, no coyote's yet, though a racoon that's been bothering us is no longer a problem.

It's nice not having Herman around, and we're going to make a fine horse out of Cowboy... so I hope.

We have to have somebody come trip Racer's hooves, or learn how to do it ourselves.

I guess the latter is a better option since it must be done every 6-8 weeks.

Yeah. Anyway, yawl have a blast, I'm gonna go. I'll be back later. Maybe.

;)

Cheerios DO get a bit old, after eating them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner...

Yes, Cheerios are getting old. However, they have PV! PV makes ANYTHING like wonderful rain or a sweet ray of sunshine..... even if it does taste like a shoe.

So, we decided to use the critics choice brand (toasted oats, still with PV) for a few days. Still, it tastes like cheerios. Though I must say, it has FAR more vitamins and stuffses. (stuff'zez).

....

.

.

.

.

Why the heck are you all staring at me??

Stop it! You're scaring me!

You all look like you haven't heard from me in over a week....

WHAT?? Gee, I'm sorry guys...

***makes sad face***

I've been having a blast all week with David. David Heustis.

Jeffrey too, but he's not watching me this second, so I'm just gonna say nice things about David. David is red, David is blue, Cheerios are sweet, but David hates them too.

Ok, I'm no poet, but maybe David is.

He already holds the mouse of devine power (logitech MX700) in his paws, but I shall allow him to have the keyboard for a few moments of complete control! *evil laugh*.

A'right. Here's David.

Alright, since John Doesn't think I'm that interesting, I'll make this quick. k, John? HEY! KEEP AWAY FROM THE CONTROLS!!!!!!!!!

GAAGH!! *Struggles Furiously*

Ah, that's better. Now, I was about to say that I've been having alot of fun doing all of John's chores...

*yells* KEEP AWAY!

Some of those chores include taming the donkey, feeding the horses and helping John put his socks on in the morning.

Speaking of the donkey, John and I were able to semi-tame the ferocious beast. In fact, we were able to ride him for a little while, before he got auctioned off for 260 bucks. John just said he wouldn't pay 20 bucks for the critter.

I'm gonna see if I can squeeze out an entire blog post to myself one of these days dedicated to my glorious geographical relocation. John's getting buggy, so I can't say much more, I'm just gonna' say hi to the people I left behind in Alaska.

Hi Kuhns, Morelands, Zimmermans and Rogers!!

Talk to you later.

AH!! Freedom! I have the controls once again! After I post this, I'll have to read what this liar wrote!

/iKid.

So, 8:30. The sun is streaming beautifully through the trees, telling me it will likely be 80 degrees outside. I love Texas for that, but hate it for the fact that we are already taking preventive measures for scorpions.

We happen to be in a bad area for scorpions...

Doggone it, we gotta do our scheduled stuff now, Bible study, workouts, and chores. Fortunately, David Heustis is here and thus makes this a much more fun experience!

We'll be back yawl, but in the meantime, yawl chill. - 8:36 A.M.

11:48 P.M. - We're Back!!

Had a blasted good time jogging, mate! Cool stuff in the wild!

Yeah, anyway, we did Bible study and then did some chores, then went jogging. took us about an hour to go five miles, so I doubt we'll be entering any speed competitions. Though I must say, both of us did it on full stomachs, so we didn't d0 too bad. We'll go again tomorrow and make up for our sluggishness on today's run.

Anyway, we got a new colt. Yup, a new colt. And this one's not a .223, or a .44. He's only about 8 months old, but he is pretty big already, and he and Racer are great buddies. His name is....

/drumroll
Cowboy!

Yeah, I didn't name him that, but it's a good name. I kinda like it. David and I are now arguing over whether or not 'kinda' is a word.

Oh well, I love havin' him here!

But the horses name is Cowboy, David's name is David, and 'kinda' is sorta a usable word!

Fantastic, such progress!

We're gonna go poor some concrete and weld some random metal pieces into shelves this afternoon. If we have some spare time, we're probably going to clear small holding area out behind the barn. A lot of burning and cutting must be done and I'm not afraid to do it.

Well, we'll talk more later, since later will always be here, but now doesn't always exist.

So, Yawl have a goodly one!

l8r.

- Me and David. Duh.

BYE!!!! I hate this blue text... -David

Stop that! Whiners aren't allowed! - John.

Irony++. - David

Ooooh..... I just barely have the I.Q. to get that, but unfortunately I did. Be wary when you sleep tonight, David.... Scorpions may haunt your dreams..... Muaha ha ha haaa!!!! - John.

Snipers and Sara Reed's Pictures, part 2!

Well, the Heustis Family is somewhere in the lower 48. I have no clue where!

Ha.

Gee, I THINK I said that on the last post, but I'm not sure. If I did, you now know for sure that NOTHING has changed. Period. I'm STILL clueless as to the location of my best friend!!

*grumbles*

Anyway, I've noticed that people don't like my argumentative (Jordan has another term for it that I shall refrain from using on a public blog that women and children may hear. Ha. That's funny. I'm still a child in Jordans eyes.) attitude.

One thing about it, you know I'm not a conman! Isn't that a relief? I mean, conmen always try to be nice and stuff just to squeeze what they want out of you, but now you can tell for sure that I'm not doing that.

I would fail miserably as a door to door salesman, and would likely end up ramming my products down the throats of my proposed customers. That would be bad, especially if I was selling pepper-spray.

Well, now to something happier, more light-hearted and overall stupid. Wait, that didn't sound happy....

I've decided to do a couple different music videos if I have the time, the first being done to an old Ricky Nelson song, and the second being done to Smash Mouth or Aerosmith, due to the amount of action I would like to include in that latter video.

Cool huh? Well, I thought not. At least I'm not doing a remake of barbie girl. Too much competition. It's just too good! ;)

Yeah. Whatevah.

So, I also have pictures of the Heustis' family's going away party, which was held at the Morelands house. That's a cool house, and it seems to have a lot of parties!

Don't worry, this wasn't a PARTY party, just a tame, slow, cry your eyes out because you will NEVER see these people again, (so much for positive) and it's your last chance to say what you really thought of them.

As I recall, people were happy at our going away party. Hmmm.... That's not a good sign... ;-)

*sigh*

Welp, (yes welp. That's similar to a yelp but much better) I hope you enjoy what I have (graciously donated by Todd *kisses Todd*), because what I have is pictures!'

Pictures of the Heustis's party!

*starts playing disco music*

So, where shall I start?

How about posting pictures, then telling you who is in each one? Sounds good! We'll start here.

Here we have the dreaded 'Adults'. They often times make us sit and listen to wise words which make my brain hurt, for long periods of time. Last time, they made me sit still for at least 10 minutes!!

/iKid.

Left to Right: Todd Rogers is sitting down at the computer, Gary Kuhn above him with the glasses on, Jeff Moreland, Dale Heustis with the coffee cup, Brenda Kuhn watching Dale tell a big fish story ;-), The top of David Heustis's head behind her, and Jeff in the back, with just the tip of his face showing.

Left to Right: Duke Rogers (cute little feller ain't he?), the famed Esther Zimmerman, David Heustis (even more famed), Jeffrey Heustis, Derek Moreland (He's a dang cool kid. He's the type that makes movie stars!), and Tait Zimmerman making sure they don't get out of line.

Click below for a closer look (Derek and Jeff are a bit far away).

High Resolution Version.

Quite the ghostly eyes you got there, Ashley. Comes from LOTS of red-eye, and a not very good red-eye remover.

Now I can't say for sure, but near as I can tell, this is the same place as the last picture, but from the opposite angle.

Just the people at the close table.

Left Right: Tait Zimmerman (apparently falling asleep, that tells me that David might have been talking about hardware again), Ashley Zimmerman, Esther Zimmerman (again, must be the same table), and below her is David. I know David is really further left than she is, but uh, well, I was going clockwise.

Clockwise on the far table are (as good as I can tell from the picture): Amber Rogers, Anna Heustis, Dale Heustis, Todd Rogers.

Here we have the Heustis family standing together, as they always have, and always will.

Left to Right: Jeffrey, Dale, (Doggone it, I can't spell that girls name, so I'll just try the next best thing) Renae, Anna, Jerad, Ryan (his middle name is John, just so you know. /vain), and David.

If you made sense out of that, fantastic!

Wow! The group! All together!

Uh.... Where the heck is our Pirate? Jeff is missing! Looks like he was busy pushing buttons on the camera.

*sigh*.

Well, from left to right: Mary Moreland (top), Audrey Moreland (bottom), Derek Moreland, Jeffrey Heustis (tall kid), Amber Rogers, Todd and Duke Rogers, Angela Rogers (in Amber's arms), Dale Heustis, Anna Heustis, David Heustis (above), Ryan and Jerad Heustis (Bottom and Bottomer), Mrs. (I think it's spelled Robyn) Zimmerman (more middle, really) Jared Kuhn (Below middle), Oh that name again! Renae? (bottomest), Way up there is Don Zimmerman (head of the Zimmerman clan, obviously), Brenda Kuhn, (gray hair and sweet smile, you can't miss her), Ashley Zimmerman, Esther Zimmerman, Tait Zimmerman, and Gary Kuhn.

Phew. What a mouthful. If you understood that, I recommend that you hire on at NASA. They could use people of your mental caliber.

So, that's about all for them thar pictures, but remember Sara Reed's pictures I didn't have last time? Well I have them now!

I don't have links to the high res, but if you wanst 'em, jest ask for 'em, 'cause I can shorly get them for ye.

Here are the pictures with her captions:

First is a picture I like of Mom and Dad in the dining room.

Second is Madison and Dad sleeping together, I think it's cute!

Third, I thought you might like since you like Basenjis, is our Basenji Katie (or Katherine when she's in trouble). You can't really see the brindle, but she's sitting up pretty.

And last is my favorite doggy picture, she normally sleeps all curled up in a ball right in the middle of the bed, this day she slept in 'til noon. If you look in the backround you can see her collar on the nightstand, looks like she took her collar off before bed. HER bed. She thinks she owns everything. - Sara Reed.

Fantastic!

Well, I'm gonna end this post with a couple pictures of the ferocious animal we have living down the street.

I'm sure this is the cat that has crazed Barny from Half Life 2 with fear.

Behold, the thing that makes dogs run for cover, and grown men cower with their inability to stop it: It is, SNIPERCAT!!

Wow that was lame.

In Alaska, there really were wild animals. I mean, wolves feared the beasts. Mean. Could down a wolf before you can say 'Bob's not my freakin' Uncle, so STOP talking about him, alright?'.

Ha, that's funny, cause I have an uncle named Bob.

Amazing creatures they are.

Shall I show you?

Behold again, the Alaskan,

BUNNY, RABBIT!!

I wish I could eat that fast!

Reagan had an excellent birthday party, and got a brush, halter, and lead rope for Racer.

Of course, Reagan is scared to death of Racer. Too bad, since Racer IS her horse.

So, today, we went out and brushed racer a little bit, threw a saddle blanket on her, put the halter on, attached the lead rope, and set Gator on top. We pulled Gator along, and Racer seemed to like the attention. Then we put Reagan up there, and Reagan yelled "She's wiggling!! I think she's going to tip over!"

We tried not to laugh.

Anyway, Ashley, Esther, Jennifer, whomever is emailing Reagan, you might want to offer a little encouragement. Of course, she won't check her email again 'til Friday (Only doing email once a week now), but she'll respond as soon as she can.

So yeah, when I get pictures of the riding experience, I'll post them. I just kinda watched and enjoyed myself, and Mom didn't want any cameras, because she didn't want the flash to scare the horse.

But, whateva.

So, have fun folks!

Commenting on all of that may give you sore fingers, but comment freely. I don't bite.....

....very hard.

;)

Pictures are good for keeping Valerie happy...

Not to mention, my last attempt at a blog post wasn't as universally appreciated as the calf thread was.

So, alas, I asked Kelly to give me the best of the best of the pictures from the other day. Lo and behold, here they are, in all their digital glory.

Come and see oh ye bloggety ones!!

High Resolution Version.

This is the field, and it's where we work with the animals. Of course, that's my standard "It's cold and wet outside, and the animals stink!" outfit.

__________________________________________

High Resolution Version.

This is Mama and the Baby. They don't really trust me, but they are extremely amazed by the flash on the camera Kelly had.

__________________________________________

High Resolution Version.

Of course, it was raining, and the calf got soaked when Mama ventured out for a little food.

__________________________________________

High Resolution Version.

She's a cute one alright! I'd say the name Belle suits her just fine!

__________________________________________

High Resolution Version.

A rather cinematic shot. That's Racer the horse and John the wannabe Cowboy. (hint, the horse is the one on the right.)

__________________________________________

High Resolution Version.

Here's an earlier picture. This is pretty much our whole family, and Dale Heustis, all gathered to see the calf. Dad was on the phone with Jack, and thus we didn't want to bother him. He came out and saw her later though.

__________________________________________

High Resolution Version.

And of course, a much earlier picture (last summer/autumn) of the kids 'round the campfire right outside our house. Man, we've cleaned things up a bit since then...

__________________________________________

Anyone want a picture of my Dog?

Hunter.

Didn't think so. Whatever.

He's almost healed up from being torn to hell by a pack of coyote's. Big ones. Think, bigger than Hunter. That's huge for a coyote, but they've been having a rich feast here during the spring. Calves, rabbits, possum, and snakes are all wonderful food sources for these beasts, and they thrive on them.

They said Kaufman had some of the worst coyote's in Texas, but we didn't really know it was true. Apparently, during this time, most of the ranchers 'round these parts put their cattle indoors, unless.....

Unless they've got some stupid DONKEY out in the field. This is the one single purpose of that blasted animal. Obviously, Hunter would be no match for them, but they say a Donkey would kill all of them.

Amazing isn't it?

Before I go, I'd like to post something Todd sent me.

Todd's a great guy...

That's about it for now, but yawl enjoy yourselves!
