Congratulate us, we're semifinalists!!!
Well, we've done it. We're semifinalists in the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival.
Which rocks.
A full list of the semifinalists can be found here.
And, in other news, I just got back from FED, which rocked.
Mason Weaver is a genius, and seems to like Dad a lot, which is good. He's positively brilliant. Everybody needs to buy his book 'The Rope' and read it.
He had some extremely awesome things to say about Hurricane Katrina too. Heh, you had to be there!
While I was there, I hung out with the Rogers, Morelands, Heustis's, and Coates. Yeah, Derek, David, Greg, Angela, and Myself, were all having a grand ole' time in Spokane.
Sadly, we're all fool enough to not take very many pictures. However, David managed to get some good ones, but I'll post those later. For now, I must slump into a depression, and realize that in 6 days, I'll be 16. Err, wait, it's midnight now, so, in 5 days.
I'll upload a special song about my feelings on the 18'th of October.
Then, on the 27'th, we'll be in San Antonio for a second round of the film festival!
The sad thing about the festival, is that Rich Christiano, the only truly qualified speaker last year, will not be returning this year. He wasn't invited back, for some odd and unexplainable reason, which I shall try to squeeze out of Mr. Phillips while we're there.
I plan to haul him into a closet and BEAT the truth out of him! Mwuahahaha!
Oh, yeah, while we were at FED, I dropped a cell phone into the river.
Ouch.
Sorry.
:P
I did some calculating, and based upon a few bits of information from last year and this year, I've come to the conclusion that Bubble Trouble is counted in the top 15 - 20 films that'll be at the festival. Out of 140 entrants, being in the top 15 - 20 isn't bad!
Especially considering how poor the audio was (yet again) in the film.
Oh well, yawl will be seeing it soon enough!
I'm setting up an ordering page for the DVD, which will be 12 dollars, to cover disc labels, cover inserts, cases, discs, shipping, and hopefully still recoup a bit of the film budget costs.
It'll all be done via Pay Pal, but I hope that doesn't scare you away... :P
Also, an 'About Us' page should be up in the near future. Not TOO near, but somewhat near. ;-)
Yawl have fun for now though!
