Just putting a few of the RED grabs on the system and doing some correcting. Due to the camera's display setup, almost all the shots ended up overexposed by about 20 percent. Below is the RAW frame as displayed by the 'RedLog' setting in RedCine. The raw data.
What's so impressive to me, is how much detail is maintained, and how perfectly controllable the image is. A standard video camera with the below image would be a nightmare to work with, but the RED

A few seconds in Premiere, and pow. With the RED footage encoded using Cineform's Prospect 4K, this footage plays and renders real time. I had both the Color Balancer filter and the Color Corrector filter on, and it played better than HDV on my PC. Unbelievable tool, and amazing footage. Of course, this doesn't reflect the final grade, but does speak well of the tools on this film.

Fact: This stuff is fantastic.
Fact: All the GOOD looking color grading (the theater, the horses, Mrs. Jackson and the tree) was done by Mr. Burgess. These are the frame I just threw out as an example. And if anyone wants to play with some raw stills, let me know. We can upload some.
