Facing the Giants; A Must See Movie.

If any of you have seen flywheel, you know that Alex and Stephen Kendrick are brilliant writers and have a particular genius for working with a small budget. Flywheel, their first film, cost only 20,000 dollars to produce, and it was released in several theaters in their area. It became one of the most popular independent Christian films every produced.

Well, this year with Facing the Giants, the Kendrick brothers have outdone themselves. This tale of a failing highschool football team that turns to Christ as their only source of help is truly delightful. Made for a budget of 100,000 dollars, the film did 1.5 million in theaters on the first weekend.

And who thought that a little 100k Christian film would make it to over 420 big screens all oveer the United States? The film has held it's own against the Hollywood blockbusters for two weeks now, but it's got a tough run ahead of it. If you have not seen the film yet, go see it. The film won't be on DVD for a while now, so you'll just have to catch it in a theater, but it's well worth the hassle.

That's coming from somebody who's only been to a theater four times in his entire life; and would make it five to see this film for a second time.

HeuMoore Productions recommends this movie.
